Seriously. They sell out fast!
If you live in Toronto, alternative bakeries are a dime a dozen, which is fantastic for when I find myself wandering around the big city. And most of the time they are absolutely fantastic in what they offer! Bread, pasta, pizza - all gluten free and healthy alternatives for those who sometimes wish to "eat a little lighter" as I enjoy phrasing it. |
However (and I know I'm not alone in thinking this) my all-time favourite little bakery is not found
in the big city. It's right here in Burlington - Kelly's Bake Shoppe. The mother-daughter-run
bakery stocks muffins, cupcakes, cake-pops, donuts and more! All made fresh daily with alternative ingredients and lots of love :) The donuts are usually the first on the menu to go. They fly off the shelf because they are so fantastic! I, for one, have never actually found another bakery that offers gf donuts half as good as Kelly's. So, when I went to Kelly's with my brother for a little early afternoon pick-me-up I was over the moon that we could order donuts (yes, plural!) So excited that I couldn't even wait to take the picture before my first bite :)
